AJMA's reach extends across more than 100 communities nationwide—from major healthcare and academic centers to smaller cities and regions. That reach reflects something important: Jewish healthcare professionals want to find one another.

Our communities don't all look the same, and they aren't meant to. Some areas have large concentrations of AJMA members and frequent opportunities to gather. Others may have a smaller group of members who connect periodically. New connections continue to form as AJMA grows.

Member Advisory Council

Help Shape the Future of AJMA

The AJMA Member Advisory Council brings together healthcare professionals, trainees, researchers, administrators, and community leaders who want to play a more active role in advancing AJMA's mission. Whether your interests include advocacy, education, mentorship, research, communications, local community development, events, fundraising, or strategic planning, there are opportunities to contribute based on your interests, expertise, and availability.

The Advisory Council serves as a flexible way for members to share ideas, support initiatives, connect with colleagues nationwide, and help strengthen the Jewish healthcare community.

AJMA Member Advisory Council

AJMA's strength comes from the expertise, leadership, and engagement of its members. As our organization continues to grow nationally, we are building a network of members who are interested in helping shape AJMA's future through the Member Advisory Council and related initiatives.


The Advisory Council is designed as a flexible opportunity for members who would like to play a more active role in helping shape AJMA's programming, messaging, advocacy, member engagement, and organizational growth.


Participation is entirely voluntary and engagement can scale based on your interests and availability.


Members may have the opportunity to:

  • Provide strategic feedback and member insight

  • Contribute professional expertise and subject-matter knowledge

  • Help shape advocacy priorities and organizational initiatives

  • Support webinars, educational programming, and curriculum development

  • Participate in surveys, focus groups, and rapid-response discussions

  • Assist with community-building and networking efforts

  • Serve as mentors, speakers, authors, or advisors

  • Support fundraising, sponsorship, and partnership initiatives

  • Explore committee, working group, and leadership opportunities

Volunteer Agreement Acknowledgement

Participation in the AJMA Member Advisory Council requires review and acceptance of AJMA's Volunteer Agreement. This agreement helps ensure clear expectations and appropriate protections for both AJMA and participating volunteers, including confidentiality, appropriate use of AJMA resources and communications, and alignment with AJMA policies and insurance requirements.
