Dr. Stuart Ditchek is a pediatrician in Brooklyn, New York and Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine .  He is a Board-certified pediatrician specializing in the care of high-risk children and young adults and the former medical director of the Jewish Genetic Disease Consortium, the current Chief Medical Officer of the Kids of Courage, and an active member of the National Gaucher Disease Registry. Dr. Ditchek lectures regularly on the topic of genetic diseases with a proficiency in Gaucher Disease. 

Aviva Rosenberg, JD is the co-founder and co-president of Gaucher Community Alliance (GCA). She is a health care attorney based in Pennsylvania and taught as an adjunct professor at several universities. Aviva was diagnosed with Gaucher disease at age 27, following 20 years of symptoms with no answers. One of her three sons also has Type I Gaucher disease. Aviva’s passion is educating about genetic diseases and screenings and talking about her personal journey with Gaucher disease, including the need to shorten patients’ diagnostic results. After years of dealing with insurance appeals and learning patients’ struggles with access and coverage, she was motivated to found GCA so that patients can share knowledge and experience to help others.
