In recent years, and especially since October 7, Israel and pro-Israel Jews have faced vicious attacks in the West, particularly in left-wing spaces. Many of us were unprepared for this reality. In How to Confront Anti-Zionism, Jewish writer and influencer Boaz Munro will share what he has learned about how to respond. The answer is as difficult as it is simple. Join us for a dynamic, interactive conversation that will equip you with the tools to better understand and combat the challenges we face.

About Boaz

Boaz Munro is a web designer, writer, and influencer who recently returned to his birthplace of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after a decade living in the Bay Area. He studied Modern Middle East History, Hebrew, and Arabic in college and graduate school, spending time abroad in Israel, Egypt, and Morocco.

Boaz felt safe and fairly complacent as a Jew in America until the Israel-Hamas war of 2021, when online spaces erupted with anti-Israel hate and antisemitism. When he spoke out against attacks on Jews in the U.S., he found many of his friends either silent—or worse, justifying the attacks. Since then, Boaz has become an online activist and educator, working with Jewish youth and adults to understand and push back against Anti-Zionism.

Boaz’s work has been published in Tablet and other online magazines, and he has been interviewed by The New York Times and Pittsburgh’s Jewish Chronicle. His Instagram account, @im_ayn_ani_li, has 4,500 followers.

Boaz is optimistic about the Jewish future but believes we urgently need to change our approach as a Jewish diaspora.
