About the event
Members Only Event
AJMA is delighted to present the 1st 90-minute talk of our 3-part educational series. Led by Dr. Rebecca Davis-Suskind, this first talk focuses on civil discourse, critical thinking, and the Jewish people. Our educational series aims to address the underlying causes of the current anti-Jewish climate in the US through education, and we are working on getting it accepted into the curriculum at health professional schools across the country.
We strongly encourage our members to attend. It will be an opportunity to learn efficient language for clearly communicating aspects of our identity and history that are often misunderstood. We welcome feedback after the talk and also would love to chat about whether there may be opportunities to spread our message at your institutions.
Dr. Rebecca Davis-Suskind is a palliative care provider supporting patients and their families in the greater Seattle area as well as internationally. She has provided healthcare/health-tech consultancy and patient advocacy within large medical systems and the technology sector for more than twenty years. For the past five years she's focused her attention on teaching physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams leadership skills and communication training, providing coaching support to implement clinic wide initiatives that train clinical staff in serious illness communication, advance care planning and complex care coordination. Rebecca teaches nationally on trauma-informed care, culturally competent clinical care, communication, and equity.
